So, you know how things are really difficult, and you feel like no matter what you do you’re bound for failure and everything is useless? Well, listen up because I have a totally doable, and worthwhile challenge for y’all that will also make you a better person and probably save the world.
This month / last month we connected with these cool folks at this place called the Green Action Centre. Their organization is based here in Winnipeg and serves the province of Manitoba. They work to promote greener living through environmental education. They also encourage practical green solutions for use in homes, workplaces, schools, communities, planet erf. You get it.
They also promote this neat event called the Commuter Challenge. That’s where we come in.
The Commuter Challenge is a friendly yearly competition that encourages everyone to explore greener options for getting to and fro. This is how it works: you sign yourself (or your workplace) up, you find way to commute, and reap the rewards good health and good feelins. Plus, there’s also chances to win prizes.
They’ve already given out some really cool framed prints of a character drawing Ryan did to help promote this year’s event. So, check out the Green Action Centre website, join up the challenge if you’re local.
The media launch of the Commuter Challenge is today, June 1, in Winnipeg but the actual challenge begins next week and runs from June 5-11. You can visit the centre's website for more information on the Challenge and root around the page to find out more about what Green Action Centre does in yer communities.
